Big w00t thanx to Mike Montano for letting me know about this! I'm trying it out on torley.com and just blogged:

Would like to see a way to set # of comments, and show an excerpt of the actual comment. That'd be useful without overcomplicating how easy it is to copy-and-paste the JavaScript. Thank-you for considering! =)

It may have a five minute delay before refreshing the comments to match your profile. Can you let me know where you've been commenting @ cg [at] backtype [dot] com so we can look into it?

I am using the widget and I love it as a way to track my comments.

However I'm wondering how often it updates. I have left quite a few comments over the past few days using at least one of the urls in my address list, but the last comment that shows on the widget is from 3 days ago.

Is there a way to force updates?

Cool I have been watching BackType for awhile. I think it has some really interesting ideas and I am interested to see how it evolves in the future.
